Aug. 4
•Deputy reported abandoned vehicle.
•Complainant reported testing of fire alarms at location.
•Complainant on Dodge Street reported a bike has been left in her back yard.
•Complainant reported there will be some road repairs occurring in the next week (150th St./200th Ave.) Complainant will keep the law enforcement center updated as to what portions of the road will be closed.
•Complainant reported possible shoplifting by subject at Teal’s Market.
•Complainant requested residence check at location.
•Complainant reported finding subject lying on the sidewalk on North Cedar Street. Subject is bleeding from the hands and face but is conscious and alert.
•Complainant requested to speak to a deputy regarding the eviction process to get subjects out of her home.
•Complainant requested deputy take subject home.
•Complainant requested deputy drive by subject’s known addresses to see if there was a silver sedan at location.
•Complainant reported fireworks in Magnolia.
Aug. 5
•Complainant reported subjects yelling and pulling trash from dumpsters at location on West Main Street.
•Complainant in Hardwick reported troubles with neighbor’s trash at location.
•Complainant reported two males removed a grill from neighbor’s property. Neighbor is not home, and he wanted to report .
•Deputy assisted complainant with possible domestic.
•Received 911 reporting vehicle speeding and swerving at location. Transferred to State Patrol. Advised deputy. See attached incoming call report.
•Complainant performed probation check at location.
•Deputy reported hitting raccoon.
•Subject was arrested for probation violation. See attached incoming call report.
•Complainant reported intoxicated male on property refusing to leave.
•Complainant reported possible drunk driver. Transferred to State Patrol.
Aug. 6
•Complainant reported suspicious activity of two males at Stone Creek.
•Complainant reported brother is intoxicated and traveling to location from George, Iowa. Unable to give vehicle description.
•Complainant requested information on child exchange with an order for protection.
•Complainant reported key locked in vehicle at location.
•Complainant reported staying at Quality Inn and leaving prescription medication in the room. Hotel reported unable to locate in the room.
•Complainant reported tire debris at location. Transferred call to Pipestone County and State Patrol.
•Complainant reported vehicle parked on their property on 121st St. Owner is unwilling to move.
Aug. 7
•Complainant reported scam phone call.
•Complainant reported guest is using drugs at South Kniss business.
•Received reports of broken window and vacant property.
•Complainant reported vehicle speeding and swerving at location. Transferred to State Patrol.
•Complainant reported loud music from neighboring apartment.
•Deputy conducted a probation check. He moved to Pipestone. Faxed to them.
•Complainant reported there is a group of people on the lawn that appear to be high. She is concerned because there are kids around.
•Complainant called 911 inquiring if a car was stolen. He traded someone in South Dakota for it, and now the guy is calling him and telling he cheated him. It has North Dakota paper plates. He is on his way home.
•Complainant reported the guy keeps pushing her fence that is nice and neat so he can park there.
•Complainant did not want to give a statement. Wanted assistance removing spouse from the house.
•Deputy completed a probation check. Subject home.
Aug. 8
•Complainant reported ran out of gas on interstate. Transferred to State Patrol.
•Complainant reported employees of neighboring business on Main Street are moving items around on her property.
•Complainant reported argument between himself and wife.
•Deputy performed probation curfew check. Subject home.
Aug. 9
•Complainant reported a dump truck that has been parked on the street in front of her residence. Complainant advised it was parked there when they left for vacation three weeks ago and is still there.
•Complainant reported an excavator with non-secure load. Transferred to State patrol.
•Complainant reported a couple of semitrailers parked on the fog line, and one guy is waving traffic around them with an orange flag. Advised Marshall Patrol.
•Complainant reported he bought an iPhone 7 on a Sioux Falls rummage site and cannot open the phone. He has contacted Apple and Verizon, and they cannot get him the information he needs to open the phone. Complainant was concerned that he bought a stolen phone. The phone was queried by serial number and not reported as stolen. Complainant was concerned that he is unable to use the phone. Complainant was advised that he could contact the police department where the seller lives, but they would likely inform him it is a civil issue also.
•Complainant requested attempt to locate subject possibly at location. Subject ran away. If located, hold and complainant will make arrangements to have subject picked up.
•Teal’s Food and Gas reported theft.
•Complainant reported vehicle broke down at County Roads 1 and 3.. Will tow it tomorrow.
•Deputy performed curfew check. Deputy spoke with two subjects at location. Advised that park is closed.
Aug. 10
•Complainant reported suspicious white GMC parked in the city park with no license plate. As complainant was on the phone the vehicle left. Complainant called back to advise they went tearing into town on Main Street. Complainant also reported a beer can and corn stalks at location where the vehicle was parked. Deputy advised there were corn stalks and a Red Bull can at location.
•Complainant called to inquire about using a trailer he bought and can’t get registered due to the state system issue. He was advised to hold on to his 10-day temporary license plate, and that if he was stopped, to show that. He will get it registered as soon as the system will allow. He was advised if he goes out of state it may be an issue.
•Complainant reported inattentive driver on a cell phone driving all over the road. Transferred to State Patrol.
•Complainant requested to speak to deputy about a subject that has been harassing him and has taken some of his belongings.
•Complainant reported her boyfriend will not leave her house.
•Complainant reported she is receiving harassing text and phone calls from her ex’s wife as well as treats of not returning all of her child’s property. Complainant will be coming to do a custody exchange at the law enforcement center between 6:30 and 7 p.m. and would like to speak to a deputy.
•Complainant reported he received a call at the Highway Department about some kids messing around by the bridge.
•Complainant reported white Dodge westbound in construction all over the road. Transferred to State Patrol.
•Complainant reported a woman in her twenties wearing a yellow shirt and printed leggings is at location and had two small children in front seat with her. No seat belts or car seats. Willing to sign.
In addition, officers responded to 5 motor vehicle accidents, 2 deer accidents, 2 transports, 1 funeral escort, 21 traffic stops, 19 ambulance runs, 5 paper services, 7 animal complaints, 1 false alarm, 5 abandoned 911 calls, 1 fingerprint request, 7 log/alarm sheets, 6 drug court tests, 1 purchase/carry permit and 2 burn permits.
