Aug. 18
•Complainant reported she locked her keys in her car.
•Complainant reported suspicious person in the ditch near Abbott Avenue and 260th Street. Transferred complaint to Nobles County Sheriff’s Office.
•Complainant reported a pipe sticking out of the south ditch on I-90, mile marker 20 eastbound. The pipe has smoke or steam coming out of it. Complainant doesn’t believe anything is on fire. Complainant transferred to State Patrol.
•Complainant reported that subject was in the passenger seat of a black Mercedes that drove past location twice. Subject wanted to report the violation of the order for protection, so it’s on file.
•Complainant referred subject to Rock County sheriff’s office to get a voucher for gasoline to get to work. Subject was informed that gas vouchers are not issued for that reason.
•Complainant reported harassing phone calls from an unknown phone number. Caller was cursing at complainant. Complainant was told it is most likely a scam caller and to block or ignore the unknown number.
•Complainant reported subject is repeatedly falling down and is obviously intoxicated. Subject was on the sidewalk near location.
•Complainant requested gas assistance.
•Complainant reported vehicle swerving all over the road at location. Vehicle exited at Highway 23. Complainant transferred to Minnesota State Patrol.
•Complainant requested assistance in locating a kidnapping suspect.
Aug. 19
•Complainant reported fire at location.
•Complainant reported burglary alarm.
•Complainant reported a possible rolling domestic at location. Complainant transferred to Minnesota State Patrol.
•Complainant reported people riding horse at location in the “road closed” area.
•Complainant in Hills reported smelling smoke somewhere in home.
•Complainant reported fire pit at location that she feels is dangerous.
•Deputy performed curfew check.
•Complainant reported vehicle speeding at location.
Aug. 20
•Complainant reported burglar alarm at location.
•Complainant reported someone sleeping in a car at church parking lot.
•Complainant reported that her grandmother (subject) took her child from location without her consent.
•Complainant reported that her child was fighting with her neighbor’s children, and when confronted, her neighbor (subject) made harassing remarks and threats.
Aug. 21
•Complainant reported individuals on West Hatting have information on recent thefts in the area. Requested a deputy.
•Complainant reported her vehicle’s tires were slashed on North Spring Street.
•Complainant reported young female vomiting on side of road at location.
Aug. 22
 
•Complainant reported debris on the road at location. Transferred to State Patrol.
•Complainant called 911 to report fire hydrant open in area. Complainant was advised the city is working on the water tower, and that is why.
•Complainant reported construction crew regulating traffic at location is dangerously directing traffic into oncoming, abrupt stops, and pointing. Transferred to Minnehaha.
•Complainant reported training at location.
•Ambulance on standby for Luverne Fire Department.
•Complainant reported group at Blue Mounds State Park being noisy and possibly drinking underage.
Aug. 23
•Complainant reported his nephew is making suicidal threats.
•Complainant reported stalled vehicle on I-90, mile marker 7. Transferred to State Patrol.
•Complainant reported that there were minor children taking care of a child with autism at location.
•Complainant reported her backpack with her identification in it was stolen from her residence.
•Complainant reported a window was broken out of a construction vehicle that was parked at location. Transferred complaint to Minnesota State Patrol.
•Complainant requested a welfare check for subject. Complainant has not heard from subject and is concerned, as her husband has been abusive in the past.
•Complainant reported subject at location has a warrant.
•Complainant reported some kids in a white Dodge pickup were trespassing in an abandoned house on South Donaldson.
•Complainant requested residence check and extra patrol in area.
Aug. 24
•Complainant reported subject came into residence at location uninvited and was verbally harassing.
•Complainant in Hills reported possible stolen property.
•Complainant reported stalled vehicle at location.
•Complainant reported that subject is trying to leave location in his vehicle after being confronted about trying to defraud him. Dispatch noted yelling in the background at the beginning of the call.
•Background check done for law enforcement employment.
•Complainant requested background check for employment.
•Complainant reported someone drove through his cornfield.
•Reserved for deputy.
•Complainant reported a group of kids were threatening his daughter, so he had a coworker pick her up and take her to his work. Complainant advised someone told him that the group of kids were sitting in his yard.
•Complainant reported two mopeds driving unsafe as he was pulling into his driveway. Complainant did not have a description of them or plate.
•Complainant called 911 and reported some girls are sending text messages to his daughter and telling her a place to meet them. The girls have previously threatened his daughter.
•Complainant reported vehicle vandalized.
•Hills Fire Department out for training.
•Subject picked up in Lyon County, Iowa, and being held on our warrant.
•Deputy conducted curfew check. Home.
In addition, officers responded to 4 motor vehicle accidents, 1 deer accident, 1 vehicle in ditch, 1 transport, 1 funeral escort, 34 traffic stops, 13 ambulance runs, 2 paper services, 7 animal complaints, 2 false alarms, 4 fingerprint requests, 7 log/alarm sheets, 2 drug court tests, 4 purchase/carry permits and 3 burn permits.
