Oct. 9
•Complainant reported that someone went through a schoolbus stop arm. Vehicle is a red Buick Regal with Minn. plates and is headed west on Dodge Street.
•Complainant reported a small fire on the side of the road on County Rd. 11. Paged Luverne Fire Department.
•Complainant reported that she went through the car wash by Dollar General and when she came out, her vehicle was full of white paint.
•Complainant requested a deputy escort her to get some of her personal belongings.
•Complainant reported someone drove through a schoolbus stop arm. Driver reported an Iowa license plate. Vehicle does not come back as described.
•Deputy arrested subject on a probation violation and took her to jail.
•Complainant reported that subject is threatening to harm himself and is getting violent.
Oct. 10
•Dispatcher received a 911 call with no response on the other end. No answer on callback. Sent deputy to check it out. Everything is OK.
•Complainant reported a vagrant trying to get to St. Cloud and she doesn’t have any money or food. Transported to Pipestone County.
•Complainant reported she has an HRO against subject and subject has driven by her house and the order to stay 200 feet away. Deputy reported that it wasn’t subject in the vehicle.
•Complainant reported there are semis parked by the Quonsets in Beaver Creek and it looks like people are trying to get into them and the ammonia tanks. Sent deputy to check it out.
Oct. 11
•Complainant reported loud music on E. Dodge St. Deputy warned them about the music.
•Complainant in Hardwick reported a silver Corvette doing burn-outs, almost hit the post office and a house. May have hit a house or a tree. He has seen the driver and he lives in Luverne. State Patrol located vehicle; took driver in for blood draw and took him to jail.
•Complainant reported there are a lot of angry voices by the little store in Hardwick. Deputy reported that when he went there, no one was around.
•Complainant reported a car in the median on I-90 at mm 12. Someone is out looking around with a flashlight. Contacted G&S.
•Complainant reported a car sitting across the road in Beaver Creek by the elevator. The vehicle is running and there is a guy slumped over. Deputy reported no signs of alcohol or impairment. Subject is on parole from South Dakota.
•Complainant reported a fire alarm at 304 N. Fairview Drive. Paged Luverne Fire Department.
•Complainant reported exhibition driving on E. Brown St. Would like subject talked to.
Oct. 12
•Complainant reported a gray semi with an empty trailer traveling from Pipestone to Luverne almost took out four vheicles along the way. It was going from side to side. It is very windy out today but complainant didn’t think it was the wind causing this driving behavior.
Oct. 13
•Complainant reported they will be out of town for a week and would like a residence check.
•Complainant reported a suspicious vehicle in Hardwick. Called back to advise vehicle theft.
•Complainant reported problems between family members and a young child.
•Complainant reported a vulnerable adult.
•Complainant reported the theft of five pigs. Pigs were located in the tree line. Not stolen.
•Complainant reported that a person called her saying that her brother was deceased and needed to verify who she was. Complainant gave caller her name and Social Security number. Complainant was advised to call the Social Security Administration.
Oct. 14
•Complainant reported four empty semis just headed west out of Hardwick. Called back and said her neighbor’s friend just left driving a white car.
•Complainant reported a dryer fire at 640 51st St. Paged Hills Fire Department.
•Reserved for POR registration.
•Nobles Co. reported they are dropping off a transit at the westbound rest stop going to South Dakota.
•Complainant requested to speak with a deputy about options for people coming onto his property that are not allowed.
•Complainant reported possible child abuse.
•Complainant reported horrible living conditions for a child.
•Complainant reported someone tried to break into a house and damaged the windows.
•Complainant reported a grass fire on both sides of the road on I-90 mm 17. Paged Luverne and Magnolia fire departments.
•Complainant reported someone came to the transfer station and the vehicle had its tailgate down and lost a bunch of debris on the road from Rock Rapids to the transfer station. Subject was told to go back and get it all.
•Complainant reported his new neighbors just yelled and swore at his children.
•Deputy stopped subject for expired plates. Also subject failed to dim her headlights.
•Complainant reported sexual abuse. Notified Murray County.
•Complainant reported someone just rang their doorbell and took off. The neighbor saw someone in the backyard and they were walking on E. Warren St.
Oct. 15
•Complainant reported they found an electric scooter and no one has claimed it. Deputy picked it up and brought it to the Rock County Sheriff’s Office.
•Complainant requested a business check through the winter.
•Reserved for POR registration.
•Complainant reported her combine is smoking and it may be on fire. Paged Hardwick Fire Department.
•Complainant requested assistance getting his child from the mother. Complainant does not have custody papers from the court. Deputy advised he has to file for papers.
•Complainant reported he heard a loud noise that sounded like a gunshot near the Pine Drive area.
•Complainant reported that her daughter and her boyfriend are having issues and she would like to have a deputy check it out.
•Complainant reported there was a man lying on the ground by the mailboxes and W. Mead Ct. Complainant couldn’t tell if he was hurt or drunk. Deputies went to check it out.
•Metro Communications requested help with a female who is being harassed by a male party at the rest area on the Minnesota side. Both rest areas are in the South Dakota jurisdiction. Deputy went to help them out.
In addition, officers responded to 2 motor vehicle accidents, 2 deer accidents, 4 transports, 3 funeral escorts, 15 ambulance runs, 5 paper services, 6 animal complaints, 1 false alarm, 1 fingerprint request, 1 gas drive-off, 7 log/alarm sheets, 8 drug court tests, and issued 6 purchase/carry permits and 1 burn permit.
