Sept. 18
•Complainant reported a strong propane smell on S. Kniss Ave.
•Complainant reported that a semi with a side dump, black in color with a black trailer, blew two stop signs when coming out of the ethanol plant and went to County Rd. 4. He headed west on County Rd. 4.
•Complainant reported they got a call from someone who is in distress. She is in Pipestone County. Dispatch contacted Pipestone County to have them send someone to check on subject.
•Complainant reported identity theft.
•Complainant reported a death notification be delivered to subject in Luverne.
•Complainant reported the theft of a TV.
•Complainant reported vandalism to his vehicle.
Sept. 19
•Deputy arrested subject for DWI and took her to jail.
•Dispatch received multiple calls about a video on Facebook of subject’s daughter throwing a temper tantrum.
•Complainant reported he found a South Dakota license plate on Hwy. 75. Spoke with owner and advised he can pick it up at the Rock County Sherriff’s Office.
•Complainant reported that she lost her wallet between 12:45 and 1:45 p.m. today. She checked with the grocery store and nothing has been turned in. It is a silver metal security wallet with debit and credit card, driver’s license, military ID and money.
•Complainant reported a subject with a warrant is staying in Luverne. Deputy arrested him and took him to jail on another county’s warrant.
•Complainant reported his five-year-old granddaughter has been missing approximately an hour. She has a short pixie cut with dark brown hair and her name is Lisa. Complainant called back and they located her and she is okay.
•Complainant reported a rolling domestic heading southbound on the highway. Deputies assisted State Patrol.
Sept. 20
•Deputy stopped a vehicle and cited the driver for no Minnesota driver’s license and no proof of insurance. Contacted G&S to tow.
•Complainant reported problems with a custody exchange.
•Complainant reported a gray car with Nebraska plates passing in a no passing zone and driving into oncoming traffic. Car was last seen headed north on Hwy. 75. Also notified State Patrol.
•Complainant requested a transport of a male from the county line to the South Dakota border.
•Complainant requested a deputy accompany her to get her belongings from an apartment.
Sept. 21
•Deputy cited subjects for speed and no insurance.
•Complainant reported that they can’t find a small bike belonging to them. It is orange and black with training wheels; a jeep brand.
•Complainant reported that she has still not heard from subject. Contact was made for a death notification but they need to speak with her in reference to some financial matters.
•Complainant requested a residence check for a couple of months.
•Complainant requested a welfare check on subject. He was home and was fine.
•Complainant reported the theft of some diesel fuel.
•Dispatcher received a 911 call with no one on the line. Sent deputy to check. All was well.
•Complainant reported her daughter is being threatened.
Sept. 22
•Complainant reported she was asked to do something illegal.
•Complainant reported she lost her cell phone last night while walking her dog. The phone is blue and silver.
•Complainant reported subject is spreading manure, going from one yard to the next. There is a lot of splatter on the road on County Rd. 9 from 61st Street to 51st Street.
•Complainant reported a silver or gray pickup knocking down cones on Kniss Avenue. There is a black Chevy that seems to be following also. They turned and parked at Grace.
Sept. 23
•Complainant reported subject was outside her residence in violation of an Order for Protection.
•Reserved for POR registration.
•Complainant reported that she had been at several locations in Luverne and realized that her vehicle had been broken into and vandalized.
•Minnwest Bank reported they received a counterfeit $20 bill.
•Complainant reported that he was following a vehicle with an Iowa plate driving poorly; first fast then slow. Subject went to the campground in Magnolia, then the post office and then sat for a few minutes and headed to Luverne. Complainant thinks he’s lost.
•Minnehaha County reported that Brandon Police Department had reported an older red Buick leaving Brandon from Bethany Meadow heading to Beaver Creek. Female tested .15 before leaving work.
Sept. 24
•Complainant reported that he had a theft last night and requested to speak to a deputy.
•Lyon County, IA Sherriff’s Office requested we watch for subject who is heavily intoxicated and may be headed to Ellsworth through Rock County.
•Complainant reported an 18-wheeler was headed south on Kniss Avenue and lost a couple of tires that flew into the church parking lot. Requested a deputy come because the semi continued south on Kniss Avenue.
•Complainant reported vandalism to a vehicle at the school again today. Deputy had advised her to park under the cameras and she did that. Complainant believes that the school does not want to punish whoever is responsible.
•Complainant reported a domestic going on in the front yard.
•Complainant reported that he and his wife share custody of their child and he is supposed to be able to speak with the child once a week. They were not answering the phone so he wanted a deputy to speak with the mother.
•Complainant reported a suicidal person who called the crisis center.
In addition, officers responded to 1 motor vehicle accident, 1 funeral escort, 21 ambulance runs, 3 paper services, 7 animal complaints, 1 false alarm, 2 fingerprint requests, 7 log/alarm sheets, 5 drug court tests, and issued 4 purchase/carry permits.
