Luverne FCCLA group to participate in national event

Eleven Luverne Middle/High School students attended the Minnesota State FCCLA Conference in Bloomington April 16-18.

The students had the opportunity to hear featured speakers throughout the event to help them become better leaders in their schools and communities.

They also competed in a STAR (Students Taking Action with Recognition) event, and two Luverne students and one LHS group qualified as alternates for the National Conference.

The students included Zoe Brown in Job Interview and Alyssa Kienholz in National Programs in Action.

The group included Zoe Brown, Kat Siebert, Mira Uithoven, and Jenna Schelhaas in Parliamentary Procedure.

Due to another team not being able to attend the National Conference in Parliamentary Procedure, the LHS group will have the opportunity to compete at the National Level in July.

They will be traveling to Washington, D.C., to attend and compete at the National FCCLA Conference.
