Notice is hereby given per Minnesota Statutes 116.07, subd. 7(a), that Mike Sandbulte

will be applying to Rock County and the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency for a permit

to expand a feedlot with a capacity of 500 animal units or more.

The feedlot is located in the SW1/4 of Section 28 of Battle Plain Township, T104N,

R44W, of Rock County, Minnesota.

The feedlot is currently permitted for 800 head of beef slaughter cattle housed in

open lots for a total of 800 animal units. The proposed construction will consist of one

660 head total confinement barn with an under-floor reinforced concrete pit housing

finishing cattle, closing an existing open lot and reducing the stocking density in the

remaining open lots to 330 head of finishing cattle.

The liquid manure generated will be stored in under-floor reinforced concrete pits

and the solid manure will be stored in manure packs.

The final animal unit capacity will be 990 head of beef finishing cattle housed in

a combination of a total confinement and open lots for a total of 990 animal units.

The feedlot will be owned by Mike Sandbulte.

This publication shall constitute as notice to each resident and each owner of real

property within 5,000 feet of the perimeter of the expanding feedlot as required by Minne-

sota State Law.
