Witte graduates from NDSU
Paul Witte III received a Bachelor of Science degree in strategic communication at the Spring 2019 commencement from North Dakota State University at Fargo, North Dakota.
 
Gustavas names honor students
Toby Sengvongxay and Kristen Ziegler, both of Luverne, have been named to the Spring 2019 dean’s list at Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter. To be eligible, students must earn a GPA of 3.7 or higher on a 4.0 scale.
 
Smith makes Buena Vista dean’s list
Brenda Smith, Luverne, was named to the dean’s list for the Spring 2019 semester at Buena Vista University’s online site. To be eligible, students must have completed at least 12 hours of coursework with a 3.5 GPA or higher.
 
Stenger named to Wesleyan dean’s list
Krista Stenger, Luverne, was named to the Spring 2019 dean’s list at Dakota Wesleyan University in Mitchell, South Dakota. She also received Honors in Scholarship during the honors banquet.
Krista is the daughter of Steve Stenger.
 
SMSU releases spring dean’s list
Several area students have been named to the Spring 2019 dean’s list at Southwest Minnesota State University in Marshall. Students with 12 graded credits who earn a 3.5 or higher are named to the Honors list. Students with a 4.0 are named to the High Honors list are indicated with an asterisk after their names.
The following students were named to the dean’s list:
Adrian: Brenna Kramer*, Taylor Heidebrink, Brady Henning.
Ellsworth: Karli Schilling.
Luverne: Alexis Ferrell, Alizabeth Prekker, Chris Syphokham.
 
Bos earns veterinary
medicine degree
Nathan (Stensland) Bos, a 2012 graduate of Luverne High School, earned his doctorate in veterinary medicine from the University of Minnesota on May 5, 2019. He earned his undergraduate degree in animal science from the University of Minnesota in 2015.
Dr. Bos is currently employed as a large animal veterinarian at Herd Health, PLLC, in Caldwell, Idaho.
He is the son of Doug Bos and Lynette Stensland, Luverne.
