Sawtelle honored at UW-Stout
Kammon Sawtelle, Luverne, a junior majoring in human development and family studies, has received the Chancellor’s Award for the Spring 2019 semester at the University of Wisconsin Stout. To be named, students must earn a 3.5 GPA or higher.
USD announces dean’s list
The University of South Dakota has released the Spring 2019 dean’s list. Students with a 3.5 GPA or higher and at least 12 graded credits are named to the dean’s list. The Spring 2019 academics honors list is for part-time students with a 3.5 GPA or higher.
The following students were named to the dean’s list:
Luverne: Matt Hup, Bailey Jacobsma, Amanda Jensen, Hailey Franken.
Adrian: Skylar Polzine, Hannah Bullerman, Aaron Marsh.
Hills: Tim Hartman, Ashley Esselink, Hattie Groeneweg.

Part-time student Amanda Walker from Luverne was named to the Academic Honors list
Stratton graduates from DSU
Logan Stratton, Luverne, graduated summa cum laude (3.9 GPA or higher) from Dakota State University in Madison, South Dakota, May 4, 2019.
Stratton was awarded a Bachelor of Science degree in cyber operations.
Mace makes dean’s list at St. Catherine
Amber Mace, Hills, was named to the Spring 2019 semester dean’s list at St. Catherine University in St. Paul. To be eligible for the dean’s list, students must earn a 3.667 or higher on a 4.0 scale.
Amber is majoring in social work.
Gregory receives degree at UND
Tracy Gregory, Luverne, was awarded a Master of Social Work from the University of North Dakota, Grand Forks, at the Spring 2019 commencement.
Smedsrud named to St. Mary’s dean’s list
Kynzie Smedsrud, Luverne, was named to the Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota, Winona, dean’s list for the Spring 2019 semester. To be eligible, students must earn a 3.6 or higher on a 4.0 scale
