USF releases Spring 2016 dean’s list
The University of Sioux Falls has released its dean’s list for Spring 2016 semester. To qualify for the dean’s list, a student must earn a grade point average of 3.5 or greater on a 4.0 scale.
The following students made the list:
From Luverne were Heather Doerr, elementary education; Elijah Dooyema, sports management; Naomi Dooyema, business administration; Alicia Kontz, biology; and Tracy Yorek, social work.
From Hills were Kendra Doerr, music education and elementary education; and Meghan Leuthold, elementary education.
 
Briar Cliff University publishes dean’s list
Abigail Blanchard, Luverne, attained a 4.0 grade point average for the Spring 2016 semester at Briar Cliff University, Sioux City, Iowa. Blanchard was among 88 students to achieve a perfect 4.0 GPA.
 
Springman is UW-L graduate
Sydne Springman, Luverne, graduated from the University of Wisconsin – La Crosse – on May 14, 2016, with a Bachelor of Science degree in political science.
 
SDSU announces spring graduates
A number of area students graduated from South Dakota State University, Brookings, South Dakota, after the Spring 2016 semester.
From Ellsworth were Stacy Lorenzen, Bachelor of Science in nursing, and Ashleigh Peters, Bachelor of General Studies, Arts and Sciences.
From Hardwick was Hayden Bauman, Bachelor of Science in agriculture and biological sciences.
From Hills were Colton Bass, Doctor of Pharmacy; Natalie Leuthold, magna cum laude, Bachelor of Science in nursing; Meagan Stueven, Bachelor of Science in  agriculture and biological sciences; and Haley Van Wyhe, magna cum laude, Bachelor of Science in education and human services.
From Jasper was Matthew Haraldson, Bachelor of Science in agriculture and biological sciences.
From Kenneth was Arica Tweet, Bachelor of Science in education and human sciences.
From Lismore were Alisha Boomgaarden, Bachelor of Science in nursing; Nathan Lynn, Bachelor of Science in agriculture and biological sciences; and Brandon Weidert, Bachelor of Science in agriculture and biological sciences.
From Luverne were Brady Dinger, Bachelor of Science in education and human sciences, and Austin Van Santen, Bachelor of Science in agriculture and biological sciences.
From Magnolia was Erin Doherty, cum laude, Bachelor of Science in agriculture and biological sciences.
From Steen was Caleb Schroer, cum laude, Bachelor of Science in nursing.
 
Heronimus makes U of M dean’s list
Brett Heronimus, Ellsworth, earned a spot on the Spring 2016 dean’s list at the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis.
Heronimus is a senior in the College of Food, Agriculture and Natural Resource Science.
