New State Farm agent starts Jan. 1 in Luverne
The State Farm agent that serviced the Luverne office for the past 30 years, Pat Foerster, retired in June, and a new agent will start in January.
David Vetch, formerly of Rapid City, South Dakota, will move to Luverne to fill the position as State Farm’s new local agent.
Vetch will be accompanied by his wife, Sara, and their four children (three of whom are in college and one still in high school). 
Existing State Farm team members Renee Sudenga and Morgan Hawkins remain in the Luverne office in their current positions.
“I’m excited to offer my services to the Luverne community,” Vetch said. “And I believe I will be a good fit as I was raised on a small farm in Aberdeen, South Dakota.” 
He has been with State Farm for over 21 years and has held multiple positions within the organization. 
Vetch is licensed in property and casualty insurance, as well as life and health insurance and said he looks forward to helping service all local needs.
The State Farm office hours in Luverne are from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and evening and Saturday morning appointments as needed. 
The office location is at 122 E. Main St. in downtown Luverne, and the staff can be reached via phone at (507) 283-4401.
Bryan Fransen joins First Dakota consultant team
Bryan Fransen, Luverne, recently joined First Dakota National Bank’s Agribusiness Division as a Legacy Consultant.
Fransen joins the bank’s Keep Farmers Farming Division, which helps customers maximize the success of their farm or ranch operation through the specific tools of strategic planning and legacy planning.
Fransen has an associate degree in business management and has worked in the ag industry for his entire career.
He worked for Legend Seeds for seven years, Syngenta for eight years, and for an ag retail location in southwest Minnesota for 21 years prior to that.
Fransen is active in his church in Luverne, currently serving as an elder. He grew up on a farm near Edgerton and currently lives in rural Luverne.
