Kassidy Peters of rural Adrian is the Reserve Champion in Breakaway Roping and Reserve Champion in Reining Cow Horse events, which earned her a position on the Minnesota National High School Rodeo Team. Peters has been involved with Minnesota State High School Rodeo Association for all four years of high school, participating in Barrels, Pole Bending, Goat Tying, Breakaway Roping, Team Roping and Reining Cow Horse Competition. In each of those four years she has qualified for state finals in Minnesota, each time finishing in the top five to 10 positions in her events. To advance to nationals, participants must place in the top four, and this year Peters achieved that status. She’ll compete in the 69th Annual National High School Finals July 16-22 in Gillette, Wyoming.
