Luverne natives Abby Klosterbuer, Twin Cities, and Tami Gangestad, Luverne, teamed up to organize an event for 35 nutrition experts in Minnesota. The event was at the Nestle Health Science Global Research and Development Headquarters in Minnetonka Wednesday, March 16.
Gangestad and Klosterbuer work as registered dietitians for Nestle Health Science in the Twin Cities, and had spent time together consulting with hospitals and registered dietitians who use Nestlé's specialized nutrition products.
Based on these successful consults, the two women collaborated on a larger scale to benefit more nutrition experts in Minnesota during the March 16 event.
Klosterbuer, a senior scientist for Nestle Health Science, has a PhD in nutrition and is a registered dietitian. She develops specialized nutrition products globally for Nestle Health Science.  She is the daughter of Don and Lona Klosterbuer, Luverne.
Gangestad, a strategic national account executive for Nestle Health Science, has a master's degree in nutrition and is a registered dietitian.  She supports large health systems and Nestle Health Science contracts nationally. Gangestad and her husband, Tim, live in Luverne with their two children, Tryg and Inge. She is the daughter of Leroy and Pearl Breuer, Luverne.
Nestle Health Science provides specialized nutrition products for patients who need nutrition support such as tube feedings and nutritional drinks.
