Luverne farmer wins top yield award
Paul Arends, Luverne (right), was recently honored for being among the nation’s highest-producing farmers in the 2015 Asgrow® National Yield Contest. Arends captured an award with a yield of 88.40 bushels of soybeans per acre. He and other contest winners were honored at the 2016 Commodity Classic, an annual farmer-focused convention held earlier this month in New Orleans. He’s pictured with Jesse Hamonic, Asgrow DEKALB brand lead, who presented him with a trophy at the banquet.
