Kerkhove-Brandt selected for choir event

Hills-Beaver Creek Elementary fourth-grader Haven Kerkhove-Brandt will perform in the Elementary Festival Honor Choir Feb. 13, 2020, in Brookings, South Dakota.
Kerkhove-Brandt is one of 180 fourth- through sixth-graders selected by recorded auditions. H-BC choral instructor Amy Comp also made the recommendation for Kerkhove-Brandt’s participation.
Honor choir participants practice during the day and end with a 4:45 p.m. concert in the Oscar Larson Performing Arts Center on the campus of South Dakota State University.
Barb Sletto, founder of Heartland Youth Choir, Des Moines, Iowa, is the director for the elementary festival.
