Good Samaritan employee awarded Care Providers $1,000 scholarship

Poplar Creek employee Krista Stenger, Luverne, received a $1,000 scholarship Friday from Care Providers of Minnesota, an association of which Good Samaritan Society is a member.

Stenger, a certified nursing assistant and universal worker at Poplar Creek, is a student at Minnesota West Community and Technical College in Luverne. She’s working toward what will eventually be a registered nursing degree.

Stenger was selected for the scholarship as one of 15 applicants out of a pool of 50 across the state to use the money toward professional development within the field of long-term care.
