These libraries are especially designed for the use of farming communities and small villages which cannot support a local public library. "The books, which are shipped in lots of twenty-five or fifty, may be retained for six months by a village, but may also be chained oftener if desired. The necessary application has been forwarded, and W.A. Larson has been chosen as librarian."
