Shirley Ann Schultz, 70, Red Wing, died Sunday, Aug. 4, 2019, at the Lake City Care Center.
A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 9, at First Lutheran Church in Red Wing. Burial will be at Hope Cemetery at a later date. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 8, at the Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel, and for one hour prior to the service at the church.
Shirley Scott was born Feb. 9, 1949, to Dale and LaVonne (Lorenzen) Scott in Luverne. She spent her early childhood in the Hardwick area until her family moved to Red Wing in 1959, where she graduated from Red Wing Central High School in 1967.
She married Skip Hanson in 1971 and they had one son, Matt. They later divorced.
On Aug. 7, 1982, she married Dennis Schultz and they made their home in rural Red Wing. They had one daughter, Lindsey. Shirley worked at the Red Wing Shoe Company for more than 35 years until her retirement.
After retirement, she enjoyed her part-time role as a lunch lady in the kitchen in the Goodhue School District.
Shirley was a 20-year survivor of leukemia and recent survivor of lung cancer. Her grandchildren were very special to her and she loved attending their events. She also loved her dogs.
She is survived by her husband, Dennis, of Red Wing; two children, Matthew (Jolene) Hanson of Frontenac and Lindsey (Scott) Langhans of Red Wing; four grandchildren, Gage, Max, Scottie and Lillie; one brother, Butch (Barb) Scott of Red Wing; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
 Memorials are preferred to donor’s choice.
