Ronald Allen Niessink, 77, Luverne, died Wednesday, March 25, 2020, in his Green Valley, Arizona, home following nine months of illness.
Ron was a longtime member of the American Reformed Church in Luverne where a Celebration of Life will take place at a later date. 
Ronald Niessink was born on July 29, 1942, to Gerrit and Rena (Boone) Niessink in Rock Rapids, Iowa. He was raised in Steen and graduated from Hills High School. He worked at the Blue Ribbon Hatchery while in high school and later owned his own trucking business, Farm Egg Route Services. He worked many years for Land O’ Lakes until his retirement in 2004.  
Ron’s children, stepchildren, grandchildren and great-grandchildren consider him to be the most amazing father and grandfather. This will be his legacy. He was also a loyal friend to many. 
He will be remembered for his upbeat attitude, quick and witty humor and love for his family. He loved spending time at the lake, fishing, grilling, playing cards, and traveling with his wife, Mary. 
Ron is survived by his wife, Mary, of 29 years; four children, Michelle (Charles) Tornetta, David (Cindy) Niessink, Daniel (Tina) Niessink, and Deb (Jeff) Tatom; four stepchildren, Debra Top, Lisa (Verlyn) Nykamp, Charles Top Jr., and Amy (Tom) Otten; 17 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; his brother, Hyman (Mary) Niessink; and his sister, Marlene Aukes. 
Ron was preceded in death by his parents, Gerrit Niessink and Rena Boone Niessink, and his stepmother, Irene Wilke Niessink.
