Robert Jack “Bob” Riddle, 60, Luverne, died Thursday, Sept. 7, 2017, at his home.
 A celebration of life and sharing of memories was Monday, Sept. 11, at the Dingmann Funeral Home in Luverne. Burial with full military honors provided by the Luverne American Legion and VFW will be at a later date.
Robert Riddle was born Aug. 2, 1957, to Robert Jr. and Mary Ann (Linger) Riddle in Fort Lewis, Washington. At the age of seventeen, Bob enlisted in the United States Army. He served his country in the 101st Airborne for over 26 years.
Bob married Sharon Schouwenburg on July 20, 1985, in Etowah, Tennessee. The couple lived in Fort Campbell, Kentucky, for 10 years before moving to Luverne in 1995.
He enjoyed gardening, spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, and his two dogs.
Bob is survived by his wife, Sharon Riddle, Luverne; five children, Patty (Billy) Williford, Madisonville, Tennessee; Michelle (Ryan) Anderson, Sioux Falls, South Dakota; Meagan Riddle, Luverne; Melissa Riddle, Luverne; and Doug (Melainie) Riddle, Camden County, North Carolina; seven grandchildren, Bethany, Britney and Briley Williford, Braxton Anderson, and Hailey, Tricia and Emmy Riddle; two brothers, Richard and Ron Riddle; his stepmother, Jackie Riddle; nieces and nephews, and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a grandson, BJ Williford; and a sister, Diane (James) Arden.
