Pauline Eleanor Beyer, 94, Pine River, died Thursday, June 4, 2020, with family at her side.
       A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 24, at Christ the King Lutheran Church, 1515 North Garden Street, New Ulm, with a gathering from 3-6 p.m. at Riverside Park in New Ulm. Guests are asked to bring their own chairs to the park, as well as refreshments, if desired. No food and beverages will be served due to Covid-19. In case of inclement weather, the gathering will be at the church. Social distancing will be enforced.
       Pauline Eleanor Saathoff was born on July 10, 1925, to John and Mary Saathoff in Kenneth.
She married Harry (Hucky) Beyer on June 11, 1945, in New Ulm. They had three sons.
During her marriage to Harry they owned and operated Beyer's Bar and Steak House in New Ulm until 1974. Thereafter she worked for Combined Insurance. Upon her retirement she moved to California. She returned to Minnesota two years ago. She loved to travel, play bingo and listen to Frank Sinatra.
She is survived by her sons Brad (Angela) Beyer of Solana Beach California, Bill (Nouch) Beyer of Long Beach, California, and Rick Beyer of Pequot Lakes; grandchildren Andy (Carrie) Beyer, Buffalo, Katie Swenson, Pine River, Nicolas Beyer, Sofia Beyer of Solana Beach, California; great-grandchildren Aubree Beyer, Brynn and Liam Swenson; and her sister, Betty (Dennis) Holiman, SanLorenzo, California.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Norma Stevens, brothers John and Morris Saathoff and sister-in-law Pat (Beyer) Freeman.
