Mildred Ruth Robinson, 99, Luverne, died Friday, Nov. 24, 2017, at the Minnesota Veterans Home in Luverne.
A memorial service was Monday, Nov. 27, at the Dingmann Funeral Home in Luverne. Burial of cremains was in the Adrian Cemetery.
Mildred Dorothy was born April 18, 1918, to Thomas and Marie (Spease) Dorothy in Plankinton, South Dakota.
Mildred married Thomas Robinson on April 12, 1942, in Adrian. After their marriage, the couple lived in Adrian for a short time before moving to Worthington. Mildred worked at the Worthington Hospital and later in the cafeteria at the Worthington High School. In 1992 the couple moved back to Luverne.
Mildred was a member of the United Methodist Church in Luverne and the Hannah Circle. She enjoyed reading, gardening, crossword puzzles, and was a hospice volunteer.
Mildred is survived by her daughter, Margaret “Peggy” Watts, Luverne; her son, David Robinson, Vancouver, Washington; three grandsons, Russell Whitehead, Paul Whitehead and Alan Robinson; a niece; and three nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Thomas, on April 22, 1996; and two sisters.
