Michael Aning, age 49, of Luverne, died Monday, April 15, 2024, unexpectedly in his home surrounded by his loving family.

He was born December 23, 1974, to Jake and Marilyn (Hamann) Aning in Luverne. He was baptized, and later confirmed, at the First Presbyterian Church in Luverne and attended Luverne Public Schools, graduating from Luverne High School in 1993. While in high school, Mike began working for Herman Motors. He also played in a pool league with his grandfather. After graduation, Mike accepted a position driving cement truck with Schuur’s Concrete and later Buffalo Ridge Concrete. Some of his family’s favorite memories with him were camping and deer hunting with his boys. He also liked to help the Krachts and Kevin Kremin with their race cars. Mike was excellent at darts and played many years on the dart league in Beaver Creek. He will be deeply missed.
