Mary Kay was born on March 6, 1940, to Bernard and Esther (Fritz) Bullerman in Adrian. Mary Kay grew up on the family farm north of Adrian. She attended St. Adrian Parochial School and graduated in 1958.  She attended St. Mary’s School of Nursing in Rochester and graduated as a registered nurse on Sept. 6, 1962. After graduation Mary Kay worked at the University of Minnesota Medical Hospital in Minneapolis. After two years she moved to San Jose, California. 
She married Michael LaRocca on Aug. 2, 1975, in Lake Tahoe, Nevada. 
Mary Kay spent the remainder of her career at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center (VMC) County Hospital in San Jose where she served as the assistant head nurse on a surgical specialty ward. She retired in 1983.
Mary Kay loved gardening, reading and collecting antiques.  Mary Kay was one of six members of the Sherman Oaks Neighborhood Luncheon group, which, for more than ten years, met monthly for lunch.
Mary Kay is survived by her husband, Michael LaRocca, San Jose; a step-daughter, Valerie LaRocca, Las Vegas, Nevada; an uncle, Eugene Pellegrini, Burlingame, California; her siblings, Shirley Vaselaar, Adrian, Richard (Mary Lou) Bullerman, Chaska, Rosanne Haycraft, Hixson, Tennessee, and Steve Bullerman, Burnsville; her sisters-in-law Karen Bullerman, Worthington, and Linda Mae (LaRocca) Intravia, Columbus, Ohio; many nephews, nieces, great-nephews and great-nieces; and other relatives and friends.
Mary Kay was preceded in death by her parents, Bernard and Esther (Fritz) Bullerman; her parents-in-law, Tito and Geraldine (Pellegrini) LaRocca; siblings Joan Bullerman, Charles Bullerman and Allen Bullerman; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Mary Jane (Scheidt) Bullerman, Arthur Haycraft, Beverly (Gorter) Bullerman, and Samuel LaRocca; nephews Wayne Haycraft and Todd Haycraft; and niece-in-law Jamie (Voss) Bullerman.
