Margaret J. Hoh, 93, Luverne, died Tuesday, Oct. 15, 2019, at the Sanford Luverne Hospice Cottage.
A funeral service was Saturday, Oct. 19, at Grace Lutheran Church in Luverne. Burial followed at Maplewood Cemetery in Luverne.
Margaret Anderson was born on Nov. 20, 1925, to Tobias and Alvina (Smith) Anderson in Rock County. She was baptized on Nov. 23, 1925, at the Norwegian Lutheran Church in Luverne. She graduated from Luverne High School in 1943 and was a member of the National Honor Society.
On Feb. 1, 1949, she married Warren Hoh in Luverne. The couple lived in Luverne, and Margaret worked as a secretary for Nelson Brothers Department Store and then the Luverne Announcer. In 1960 they moved to a farm near Estelline, South Dakota, and in 1967 they moved into the town of Estelline. Margaret worked as a secretary at the Estelline Hospital for 13 years. She then took a position with the Extension Ag Communications Office of South Dakota State University until her retirement in 1989. Her husband died on Sept. 23, 2006. In September of 2007 Margaret returned to Luverne, and in June of 2014 she became a resident of Parkview Manor in Ellsworth.
Margaret was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Luverne where she was involved in Church Circle and the quilters club. She enjoyed crafts, sewing and reading. 
Margaret is survived by her sister-in-law, Margie Anderson of Luverne; nieces and nephews Tim (Barb) Anderson, Julie (Wesley) Obritsch and Nancy (Eric Koester) Anderson; and other friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her brothers Leon (Joann) Anderson and Toby Anderson; an infant sister; and two half-brothers.
