Lorna Lee Watts, 80, Luverne, died Wednesday, Oct. 5, 2016, at the Sanford Luverne Hospice Cottage.
A funeral was Saturday, Oct. 8, at the United Methodist Church in Luverne. Burial was in the Maplewood Cemetery in Luverne.
Lorna Hawes was born June 23, 1936, to Lawrence and Leola (Grimm) Hawes in Hardwick. She attended country school near Hardwick and graduated from Luverne High School in 1954. Lorna worked as a telephone operator  and also as a receptionist for Dr. Donald Odland in Luverne.
Lorna married Ralph Watts on Dec. 15, 1956, in Luverne. The couple lived and farmed in Luverne. Lorna also worked with her husband at several businesses, including Mid-States Sporting Goods, Ralph Watts Fur Co. and Luverne Silo.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Luverne. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, traveling to casinos and spending time with family.
Lorna is survived by her husband, Ralph Watts, Luverne; five children, Julie (fiancé, Bob) Watts, Maple Grove; Valerie (Terry) Egger, Alexandria; Tim Watts, Ellinwood, Kansas; Greg (Barb) Watts, Norfolk, Nebraska; and Jane (Tom) Heiberger, Brandon, South Dakota; seven grandchildren, Shelley (Brent) Thornton, Kameron Watts, Harry Heiberger, Henry Heiberger, Grace Heiberger, Danielle Watts-Boll and Austin Watts-Boll; a sister, Beverly (David) Skyberg, Detroit Lakes; and Larry (Mary) Hawes, Beaver Creek.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Steven Watts; a brother, Randy Hawes; and a sister, Donna Jean Knudson.
