Lauretta Theodora Ladd, 96, Luverne, died Tuesday, Sept. 29, 2015, at her home.
A memorial graveside service was Monday, Oct. 12, at Maplewood Cemetery in Luverne.
Lauretta Olson was born July 19, 1919, to Theodore and Laura (Jacobson) Olson on the family farm near Kenneth. She attended a country school that was located on their section of land.
On May 29, 1947, Lauretta married Lauren Ladd Jr. at Zion Lutheran Church in Luverne. They made their livelihood from the land by farming. They retired from farming in 1985 and moved to Luverne in 1999. Lauren died on March 27, 2012, and Lauretta continued to reside in their home.
She is survived by her son, Leighton, St. Louis Park; a sister, Marion Helling, Luverne; a sister-in-law, Doris Olson, Adrian; and other relatives and friends.
Lauretta was preceded in death by her husband, Lauren; her parents, Theodore and Laura Olson; a brother, Donald Olson; and a sister, Thelma Wittenberger.
