Kitthachone “John” Sengvongxay, 49, Luverne, died suddenly on Friday, Jan. 29, 2021, at his home.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 4, at the Dingmann Funeral Home in Luverne. A funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the Dingmann Funeral Home in Worthington.
Kitthachone “John” Sengvongxay was born June 7, 1971, in Laos to Boutsady and Ly (Pheng) Sengvongxay. John moved with his family to Bakersfield, California, in 1980. After graduating from high school, he moved to Magnolia.
John married Souksamay Limsithi in Magnolia. The couple lived in Luverne. John worked at Grand Prairie Foods in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, as a maintenance technician. He enjoyed fishing, watching his children’s sporting events, dancing and singing karaoke.
John is survived by his parents, Boutsady and Ly Sengvongxay, Bakersfield; his wife, Souksamay Sengvongxay, Luverne; four children, Nikki Sengvongxay, Toby Sengvongxay, Devin Senvongxay, and Xander Sengvongxay, all of Luverne; three brothers, Rasamy Sengvongxay, Sisomphone Sengvongxay and Viengxay Sengvongxay, all of Bakersfield; and a sister, Viengkeo Sengvongxay, also of Bakersfield.
