Juniper Grace DenHerder, two months old, Avon, South Dakota, died Aug. 6, 2017, at the Sanford Children’s Hospital in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
A funeral service was Friday, Aug. 11, at the Emmanuel Reformed Church in Springfield, South Dakota. Burial was in the church cemetery in rural Springfield.
Juniper Grace DenHerder was born June 1, 2017, at Avera Hospital in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, to Matt and Ginger DenHerder, Avon, South Dakota.
Juniper was a delight to her parents, sisters and brothers and put a smile on everyone’s face. In her short life, family adventures included going to the zoo, hiking at Niobrara State Park, watching fireworks and going to the pool. Juniper was baptized on Aug. 5 surrounded by her family and friends. Juniper came down with a sudden illness on Aug. 4. 
Juniper is survived by her parents, Matt and Ginger DenHerder, Avon, South Dakota, siblings Gwynevere, Abigail, Clarabelle, Isaac, Connor, and Gideon; grandparents Jim and Deb DenHerder, Luverne, and Ernest and Xinnia Namminga, Springfield, South Dakota; great-grandparents Bert DenHerder and Art and Rose Bleyenburg, all of Edgerton, and many aunts, uncles and cousins.      
 She was preceded in death by great-grandparents Clara DenHerder, John and Dora Namminga, and Clarence and Mae Voudry and her aunt Tonya Namminga.
