June Nath

June Nath, 97, Luverne, died Saturday, Aug. 11, 2018, at the Good Samaritan Society — Mary Jane Brown Home in Luverne.

A funeral service was Tuesday, Aug. 14, at the Dingmann Funeral Home in Luverne. Burial followed in the Maplewood Cemetery in Luverne.

June Vogt was born June 4, 1921, to Henry and Mary Ellen (Campbell) Vogt in Rock County. She graduated from Magnolia High School.

June married William Nath on Oct. 27, 1940, in Rock Rapids, Iowa. After their marriage, the couple lived in Adrian and Luverne, later moving near Magnolia where they farmed. They moved back to Luverne in 1961. June did child day care before she worked at George’s Bakery and Ben’s Bakery in Luverne. June also drove the Luverne Senior Citizens Bus for fourteen years before retiring.

She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Magnolia and the Ladies Aid. She and Bill played in card clubs and enjoyed playing cards and other games with family and friends.

June is survived by five children, Patsy (Jack) Cragoe, Luverne, Ron (Maureen) Nath, San Juan Capistrano, California, Larry (Cheryl) Nath, Luverne, David (Cindy) Nath, Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Terri (Steve) Hoffman, Sioux Falls, South Dakota; 13 grandchildren, Dawn (Wayne) Mouw, Diane (Steve) Hall, Stacy (Hunter) Riggs, Joshua (Julie-Alice) Nath, Jeremiah Nath, Jennifer Nath, Joseph (Priscilla) Nath, Jonathan Nath, Jacob Nath, Kiara Nath, Allana Nath, Ryan (Celina) Hoffman and Dana Hoffman; 12 great-grandchildren, Daniel and Matthew Mouw; Stephanie Riggs; Adam and Emma Wiering; Marie, Elaine, Aaron, Zachary, Luke, Brittney and Brandi Nath; and Jackson and Korbin Hoffman; and six stepgreat-grandchildren, Christian (Lily), Leah and Maris Hall; and Cyrus, Lincoln and Braxton Kirstein.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bill, on March 30, 2015; an infant son, James Allen; a granddaughter, Kaleina Nath; an infant granddaughter, Misty June; an infant great-grandson; a brother, Raymond Vogt; and four sisters, Edna Wieck, Dorothy Smeins, Ruth Ashby and Virginia Schei.
