Grant Alan Bosch, 49, Hartford, South Dakota, died unexpectedly on Monday, July 6, 2020, in Hartford, South Dakota.
       A memorial service was Monday, July 13, at the Steen Reformed Church in Steen. Burial followed at Eastside Cemetery in Steen.
       Grant Bosch was born April 19, 1971, in Aberdeen, South Dakota. At six weeks old, he became the son of Roger and Carole (Martens) Bosch. He was raised on a farm near McKenzie, Tennessee, from ages 3 through 13. He enjoyed farm life. He attended school in McKenzie, Colo, Iowa, and then graduated from high school in Savannah, Missouri. He excelled in long-distance running and held school records in the 1600- and 3200-meter races for many years.
       Following high school, Grant enlisted in the Marines. In his four-year enlistment, he was stationed stateside and served in Desert Storm. After the military, he worked in Omaha, Nebraska, at Compaq Computer, then moved to Iowa and worked at the COOP in Doon, Iowa.
       In 2011 he moved to Minnesota and worked for Orion Foods, Grand Prairie Foods and finally at Tri-State Flooring. Grant moved to Hartford just three days before his death.
       Grant was married to Isilda Fauentes. They later divorced. He had two stepchildren, Nick and Crystal.
       Grant enjoyed riding his bike, watching Husker football with his nephews Noah and Jonah, tinkering with wood and spending time with his cat.
       Grant is survived by his parents; a sister, Anita Bosch, of Sharon, Tennessee; brothers Jeff (Janet) Bosch of Valley Center, Kansas, Jeremy (Sarah) Bosch of Shakopee; and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
       He was preceded in death by his sister, Pam Bosch, and his grandparents, Bill and Bertha Bosch and Jim and Gertie Martens.
