Elzora Catherine Ott, 91, Luverne, died Thursday, March 21, 2019, at the Sanford Luverne Hospice Cottage.
A funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 30, at the United Methodist Church in Luverne. Burial will be in the Pleasant View Cemetery in rural Luverne. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Friday, March 29, at the Dingmann Funeral Home in Luverne and also one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday.
Elzora Wulf was born Dec. 14, 1927, to Henry and Mildred (Long) Wulf in Rock Township, Lyon County, Iowa. She lived on a farm as a child in Alison Township in Lyon County. Her family moved to a farm in Vienna Township in Rock County in 1939. She graduated from Luverne High School in 1946.
   Elzora married George Ott on June 8, 1948, at the First Baptist Church in Luverne. After their marriage, they lived on a farm north of Luverne until 1957 when they moved to Luverne. She worked at home raising four children and also did child care and seamstress work for others.
   She was an active member of the United Methodist Church in Luverne where she served on various committees including the Esther Circle, Trustee, Friendship Club, UMW and served as president and vice president. She also belonged to many organizations in Luverne, including R.S.V.P., A.C.E., Pink Ladies, Red Hats and the Rock County Historical Society. She enjoyed spending her free time working on genealogy, family history, sewing and quilting.
Elzora  is survived by four children, Carleen (Michael) Bakalyar, Quincy, Illinois, Harlan (Carrie) Ott, Spring Lake Park, Nelva Boergerhoff, Tequesta, Florida, and Janet (Paul) Ruble, Elk River; nine grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; six siblings, Naidine Aanenson, Luverne, Audrey Mae Munro, Sioux Falls, South Dakota, Donald (Lola) Wulf, Sioux City, Iowa, Henry (Loretta) Wulf, Brainerd, Ruth (Alan) Hendrickson, Citra, Florida, and Gordon (Patricia) Wulf, Wellston, Oklahoma; two sisters-in-law, Ruby Wulf, Chula Vista, California, and Carol Wulf, Luverne; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, George, on Dec. 19, 1990; two brothers, Franklin and Arthur; and a sister, Leila.
