Doreen Wiese 80, Luverne, died Tuesday, Jan. 26, 2021, at the Sanford Luverne Medical Center.
Visitation was Friday, Jan. 29, at Dingmann Funeral Home in Luverne. A private family graveside service will be at a later date.
Doreen Kiffmeyer was born Jan. 21, 1941, to Leo and Sylvia (Buerskin) Kiffmeyer in St. Augusta, Minnesota. She graduated from St. Cloud Technical High School and moved to Minneapolis in 1961.
Doreen married Robert “Ike” Wiese in 1963 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Waite Park. The couple moved to Luverne in 1966. They enjoyed wintering in Mesa, Arizona. Doreen worked at AR Wood Manufacturing and Smith Furniture in Luverne. She later worked at The Furniture House.
She was a member of St. Catherine Catholic Church in Luverne. She enjoyed camping, boating, riding motorcycle, card making, flower gardening and especially her grandchildren and great-grandchild.
Doreen is survived by her husband, Ike Wiese, Luverne; son Dan (Lisa) Wiese, Luverne; two grandchildren, Alex (Stacey) Wiese and Tanner Wiese; a great-granddaughter, Cali Wiese; five brothers, Clem (Evelyn) Kiffmeyer, Marvin (Diane) Kiffmeyer, Bob (Joni) Kiffmeyer, Vernon Kiffmeyer and Gene (Darlene) Kiffmeyer; and a sister, Carol Lafond.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a grandson, Scott Wiese; a brother, Roger Kiffmeyer; two sisters-in-law, Bev and Dorothy Kiffmeyer; and a brother-in-law, John Lafond.
