Donald Lange, 83, Adrian, died Thursday, Jan. 21, 2016, at the VA Medical Center, Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
A funeral mass was Jan. 25, 2016, at St. Adrian Catholic Church with interment at the parish cemetery.
Donald Lange was born Dec. 16, 1932, to August and Margaret (Frahm) Lange on a farm near Luverne. He grew up and worked on the family farm and attended country school. Don enlisted with the U.S. Air Force in 1953 and served until 1957, having been stationed primarily stateside and briefly in Japan. Following his discharge, Don returned to Rock County.
He married Anna Tille Jan. 25, 1958, at St. Adrian Catholic Church. They settled in Adrian where they raised their family.
Don worked for Hansen Silo Company, Adrian Tile Company and Safeway. He was employed at Iowa Beef Processors, Luverne, for 32 years before he retired. He enjoyed camping and fishing.
Don is survived by his wife, Anna; two sons, Mike and Pat (Diane) of Adrian; three grandchildren, Trysten, Tasha and Travis; three step-grandchildren, Becky, Robin and Heather; a great-grandson, Breilee; and a brother, Robert, Beaver Creek.
He was preceded in death by his parents and 11 siblings, Lloyd, Rodney, Raymond, Edna, Violet, Vivian, Florence, Esther, Fern, Joyce and Evelyn; a grandson, Dustin; and a daughter-in-law, Tammy.
