Dennis Arp

Dennis Wayne Arp, 75, died Thursday, Aug. 17, 2017, at Sanford Hospital in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
His cremains were interred in Rome, Georgia, with his wife and her famiiy members.
Dennis was born Sept. 23, 1941, to Ernie and Helen (Ringen) Arp in Luverne. He was educated in Luverne Public Schools and graduated in 1959. He attended Augustana College in Sioux Falls. He was drafted into the Army and served three years, including a full tour of combat duty with the Army Corps of Engineers in Vietnam. After he was discharged, he worked at General Mills in Minneapolis.
He married Lena Willine Phillips in 1966. They moved to the Portland, Oregon, area where his parents and siblings resided.
From there Dennis worked worldwide with  international construction companies, building and maintaining industrial facilities for production of oil, mining output and industrial communities. His wife accompanied him to many areas of the world and shared many interesting experiences.
Dennis is survived by his siblings, Steve, Jolene, David, Ellen, Marsha and Janie, as well as a number of cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, his parents, and his father- and mother-in-law.
