Delores Elaine Johnson, 82, Rochester, died Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2018, at Samaritan Bethany Nursing Home in Rochester.
A funeral service was Thursday, Jan. 3, at Christ United Methodist Church in Rochester. Burial was at Oakwood Cemetery in Rochester.
Delores Loger was born to Peter and Grace (Reemts) Loger on Oct. 16, 1936, in Ash Creek. She spent her early years on a farm by Ellsworth. She attended country school until 1946 when her parents moved to a farm near Magnolia. She graduated from Magnolia High School in 1954.
Delores married Darold Johnson at First Presbyterian Church in Luverne on Sept. 18, 1960. In 1966 they moved to Rochester where he was in the Federal Aviation Agency until his death in 1990. Delores was employed as a lab technician at Mayo Clinic for 20 years until retirement.
Delores was a member of Christ United Methodist Church in Rochester. She enjoyed live theatre, reading, knitting, traveling, counted cross stitch, and attending all of her grandchildren's activities.
She is survived by three children, Todd (Brenda) Johnson of Chatfield, Terry (Barb) Johnson of Kasson, and Tracy Liedl of Rochester, and three grandchildren, Annaliese, Khendra and Kollin Johnson.
She was preceded in death by her husband and grandchild, Darryn Liedl.
