Curtis W. Juhl, 83, Luverne, died Sunday, Aug. 6, 2017, at the Sanford Luverne Hospice Cottage.
A funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 10, at Bethany Lutheran Church in Luverne, with visitation one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in the Maplewood Cemetery in Luverne.
Curtis Juhl was born June 23, 1934, to Hugo and Tilda (Hoiland) Juhl in Luverne. He was baptized on July 15, 1934, at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Luverne and confirmed on Aug. 28, 1949. He attended country school at District #7 and District #12.
Curt helped his father on the farm. He moved to Luverne with his parents on Feb. 29, 1968. He started a lawn mowing and snow blowing service which he did for over 35 years. At one time Curt had 25 lawn mowing customers.
He was a charter member of Bethany Lutheran Church in Luverne. Curt went on several trips with his sister and brother-in-law seeing the sights in 34 states plus Washington, D.C., and Canada. He enjoyed putting together puzzles including 3D puzzles, and he was an avid walker.
Curt is survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Kathleen and Leroy Heeren, Luverne, and several cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Carol Juhl, in 1995.
