Registration open for students new to Luverne district
New residents to Luverne School District #2184 should come to respective school offices and register students for the 2018-2019 school year.
The high school/middle school office is open for new students to register. To make an appointment to register for students in grades 6-12, call the middle school/high school office at 283-4491.
The elementary office is open for new students in grades K-5 to register. Parents should ontact the office at 507-283-4497.
The new school year starts on Tuesday, Sept. 4.

Family Game Night at the Plaza Aug. 16
The History Center Plaza will be the site for a Family Game Night from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 16. In addition to free games and activities for the whole family, the Rock County Hisstorical Society wlll serve a meal of a barbecue, chips, a cookie, and a beverage for $3, and Chuck’s old-fashioned sno kone and cotton candy will be available.

Train to become a youth firearms teacher
The Minnesota DNR needs more youth firearms instructors to offer youth gun safety classes in Rock County. Training class to become a certified volunteer instructor to teach the field day for the online firearms safety course, as well as to teach in the classroom, is offered through the DNR. Census Information is needed for preschool children in families new to the community.
