A boy, Benjamin Louis, weighing 7 pounds, 2 ounces, and 20 inches long, was born Friday, June 30, 2017, in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, to Andrew and Audra (Novotny) Sternke, Sioux Falls. He joins two siblings, Emily and William. Grandparents are Ronald and Sheryl Sternke and Mark and Beth Novotny.

An open house bridal shower for Nicole Kerkhoff, bride-to-be of Derek Boeve, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 26, at the American Reformed Church in Luverne.
