Dragons nips Flying Dutchmen
The Adrian baseball team pulled a 2-0 victory during a competitive home game against Edgerton-Southwest Christian.
The Dragons were limited to three hits, but the plated single runs in the first and third innings to deny E-SWC.
Jacob Stamer, who recorded one hit along with Nick Harder and Nate Lonneman, pitched a seven-inning shutout. Stamer fanned 10 batters and surrendered two hits.
Patriots trounce Wildcats in Iowa

Preston Maassen captured medalist honors for the Patriots by carding a 49.

Adrian Area girls fall in Edgerton
The Adrian Area softball team came up on the short end of a 13-2 decision when it squared off against Edgerton-Southwest Christian in Edgerton.
The Flying Dutchmen scored 13 runs in the first three innings of play to set the stage for a win by the 10-run rule after four and one-half innings of play.
Devin Dreesen, who tossed four innings of 14-hit ball to take the loss, led AA with two hits. Madison Neuenberg (two RBIs), Paige Bullerman and Autumn Grussing added one hit each to AA’s cause.
