Hospice Charity Dinner & Auction

The annual Hospice Charity Dinner and Auction  is planned for April 22 at Grand Prairie Events in Luverne. Tickets are available for purchase at the hospice office at 211 E. Main Street in Luverne or by calling 507-283-1805. Visa and MasterCard are accepted. 


Story Hour and Laptime at library

Story Hour for ages 4-5 meets from 10 to 11 a.m. every Thursday through April 13. It includes stories, songs, crafts and more. Register by calling the Library at 449-5040.

Laptime for ages birth-through 3 with an adult meets from 10:30 to 11 a.m. every Friday through April 14. It includes stories, songs, crafts and more. No registration is needed for this free activity.


Monthly Food Ministry Feb. 16

The Monthly Food Ministry, sponsored by New Life Celebration Church, will be from 5-6 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 16, at the Luverne Senior Center.  ‘Sister Act’ Feb. 24-26 in Rock Rapids

A free family fun reading night will be from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 27, in the Luverne Elementary School commons. Prizes and snacks will be offered.


Library offers origami class March 7

The Rock County Library invites adults and children in kindergarten and older to a fun-filled family night of origami from 6:30-7:30 Tuesday, March 7 at the library. Registration is required at the front desk or by calling 449-5040.


New ECFE session begins

A new session of Early Childood Family Education (ECFE) classes in Luverne is beginning and continues into spring. Classes for parents along with their infants, toddlers and preschoolers provide an opportunity to learn and grow together. Parents also receive encouragement and support and connect with other parents. Sessions are free or at very low cost. Call Community Education at 283-4724 to enroll.
