Patriot girls win big in Slayton
The Hills-Beaver Creek girls rolled to a 55-39 victory when they took on Murray County Central in Slayton.
H-BC opened a 27-13 lead in the first half and sported a 28-26 scoring edge in the second half to complete a 16-point victory.
Grace Bundesen (19 points, 11 rebounds and three steals), Avery Van Roekel (12 points and five rebounds), Sidney Fick (11 points and four steals) and Jasmine Lingen (five rebounds) played key roles in the win.
Adrian wrestlers fall to Worthington
The Adrian wrestling team came up on the short end of a 57-15 decision when they entertained the Worthington Trojans.
AHS led 6-0 when Logan Taylor opened the match with a pin, but the Trojans outscored the Dragons 57-9 the rest of the night to win by 42.
Beau Bullerman registered a pin and Chandler Combs posted a decision victory for AHS.
Wolverines saddle EHS with 10th-straight loss
The Ellsworth girls’ basketball team came up on the short end of a 51-34 decision when it entertained Mountain Lake Area for a Red Rock Conference game.
The Wolverines opened a 12-point (30-18) halftime lead and outscored EHS 21-16 in the second half to prevail by 17 points.
Ashlynn Meester netted 10 points for the Panthers and Devin Dreesen grabbed nine rebounds.
