Oct. 28
•Complainant reported she got a fix-it ticket in Brandon for a headlight being out. She got it fixed and needs a deputy to sign off on it.
•Complainant requested to get some personal items out of a vehicle in the impound.
•Complainant reported neglect and truancy.
•Reserved for narcotics information.
•Dispatcher received a 911 call for driving complaint on I-90 mile marker 22 eastbound. Transferred to State Patrol.
•Dispatcher received a 911 call for driving complaint on I-90, mile marker 3 westbound. Transferred to State Patrol.
•Complainant reported that he is testing a smoke machine that is to be used in a play. Complainant wants all fire alarm calls to be disregarded at this time. Complainant will call back when done.
•Complainant reported a 911 dead air call. No answer upon call back. Deputies were unable to make contact with subject. Deputy requested phone ping due to the past history with subject. Phone pinged into Lyon County, Iowa.
•Complainant reported a vehicle along the roadway and a moped in the ditch at 131st Street and North Blue Mound Avenue. Deputy reported there is a maroon and grey Manco Hornet moped in the ditch, and moped looks undamaged.
Oct. 29
•Complainant reported a commercial fire alarm at 908 South Kniss Avenue. Paged Luverne Fire Department.
•Complainant reported losing an LG smart phone in a black Otterbox case. Complainant says he lost the phone after he forgot it on the roof of his car.
•Complainant reported some kids running out into the middle of Highway 75 by Glen’s Food and Gas Center. Deputy spoke to kids, and they won’t do it again.
•Complainant reported being passed by two speeding vehicles on I-90 mile marker 24. Transferred call to Patrol. Deputy assisted trooper in locating speeding vehicles. Deputy conducted traffic stop at mile marker 6 and cited subject for speed.
•Complainant reported a pickup pulling a hay rack with no trailer lights on County Road 4 at 110th Avenue. Pickup and trailer were headed west.
•Deputy arrested subject for fleeing and took him to jail. G&S towed the vehicle.
Oct. 30
•Deputy located some stolen property while on a traffic stop.
•Complainant reported an occupied silver Ford F-150 sitting in the roadway on County Road 3, 1 mile north of Kanaranzi. Deputy checked County Road 3. The vehicle was no longer there.
•Complainant reported a patient who was discharged is almost out of gas and can’t make it home to Iowa. Complainant is requesting a gas voucher for subject. Subject was given gas voucher.
•Complainant reported a suicidal male who’s phone has pinged nine-tenths of a mile west of the Beaver Creek cell tower. Subject is driving a semitrailer and may be parked in Beaver Creek. Subject has made suicidal comments via text message to an ex sister-in-law. Complainant did inform dispatch that subject has a permit to carry. Firearms are a possibility. 2208 pinged eastbound at Worthington.
Oct. 31
•Complainant reported her daughter was headed over to someone’s house, and she hasn’t made it, and she needs help finding her. Called back a while later and said she was located.
•Complainant requested we check a location in Luverne for man who has felony warrant out for his arrest. Unable to locate.
•Complainant reported child neglect and truancy.
•Complainant reported that his neighbor across the street always parks in front of his house instead of hers, and her vehicle has been there since Wednesday. This means he can’t put his garbage and recyclables out and can’t rake his leaves into the street. He would like to have her move the vehicle. He also mentioned that she has a new vehicle from Billion Motors, and it’s registered in South Dakota and should be registered in Minnesota.
•Complainant reported building temperature alarm at CWGM. Paged Luverne Fire Department.
•Complainant reported that his neighbor told him subject is driving car south on County Road 6.
•Complainant reported she and her son got into an altercation at location with boyfriend. Subject left for the night.
•Complainant reported someone left a Tinkerbell scooter in yard for the last week.
•Complainant reported that some kids in a red Ford Ranger threw a ball at his son while trick-or-treating. Will sign complaint.
•Reserved for predatory offender registration.
•Complainant requested deputies for an out of control 14-year-old who is throwing things at her mother. Deputy reported everything seems OK now. Subject agreed to go to bed. Advised parents to speak to Family Services about placement.
Nov. 1
•Complainant reported vehicle parked on shoulder partly blocking driving lane. Subject advised he is doing a traffic study for the Department of Transportation and will be in the area for a few more hours. Alliant Engineering is his employer.
Nov. 2
•Complainant reported subject is sending harassing and threatening text messages to her. Complainant would like to speak to a deputy to see what can be done.
•Complainant reported an erratic driver headed north on Highway 75 at County Road 7. Two females in the vehicle passed him and flipped him the bird. Car has Minnesota plates. Transferred to Patrol.
•Complainant requested deputy presence to try and help slow traffic during road work at County Roads 1 and 9.
•Complainant reported an unlicensed dirt bike on the bike path.
•Complainant requested a deputy to her residence to discuss contact between her and subject who she said she has a restraining order against.
Nov. 3
•Complainant reported possible child abuse.
•Complainant reported child neglect and abuse.
•Complainant reported problems with mother and children in the home.
•Complainant reported car swerving all over the road since Rock Rapids, Iowa. Driver cited for no proof of insurance.
•Complainant requested welfare check on subject because he does not usually stay out working this late, and he was working on taking down a building. Officer advised subject is 10-2 and heading home shortly.
•Complainant in Beaver Creek reported there is a man outside the bar pushing alcohol to minors.
In addition, officers responded to 6 motor vehicle accidents, 3 deer accidents, 1 transport, 2 funeral escorts, 5 traffic stops, 12 ambulance runs, 3 paper services, 7 animal complaints, 2 false alarms, 3 fingerprint requests, 7 log/alarm sheets, 1 drug court test, and issued 8 purchase/carry permits and 8 burn permits.
