Oct. 21
•Complainant requested a welfare check on her mom, who did not show up for work today. They pinged her phone and located her. Everything is OK.
•Complainant requested to speak to deputy regarding fraudulent title.
•Complainant requested deputies keep an eye out for subject who is possibly intoxicated driving a dark gray Chevy Cruz with South Dakota plates.
•Complainant reported she thinks she is being spied on. Had her speak with a deputy.
•Complainant reported vehicle driving close to the shoulder for some time around the 200 block of East Warren Street.
•Complainant reported subject is in the Exchange Bank parking lot yelling things at her and at the store. He advised to stay away or he may be arrested for disorderly conduct.
Oct. 22
•Complainant reported they found a wallet. Wallet was returned to owner.
•Complainant reported she found an orange Mongoose bike. The neighbor also found an XXL sweatshirt in his tree. Possible owner will look at it and see if it belongs to them. Bike was returned to owner.
•Complainant requested welfare check on subject because she took 10 Trazadone last night, and her phone is now disconnected and unable to make contact. Subject did not show up for work at 9 a.m. Subject has an eight-year-old daughter living with her as well. Deputy made entry with owners, but no one was at that address. At 5:15 p.m. Complainant called back because she made contact with the daughter.
•Complainant reported that subjects might be burning some of his property.
•Deputy advised subject’s car was 18th Avenue and 131st Street unoccupied. Called subject.
•Complainant reported subject is contacting and harassing her in violation of their order for protection.
•Deputy reported a vehicle parked unoccupied on the east side of the 700 block of West Hatting Street.
•Complainant reported that her daughter is trying to run away, and she is following behind her.
Oct. 23
•Deputy approached parties being outside the bowling alley believed to be under age. Male is 21 years of age, so deputy spoke to both parties and sent them on their way.
•Complainant reported vehicle keeps hitting the brake lights and almost caused a couple of accidents. Turned into an apartment building.
•Complainant reported her house was broken into in Steen.
•Complainant requested deputy talk to person burning about smoke going over the road on the 800 block of North Estey Street. Deputy spoke to homeowner and advised of situation.
•Complainant turned in five couch legs found on Highway 75.
•Complainant reported three males smashing pumpkins in area of location. Driving gray or silver pickup with loud exhaust.
•Complainant reported some cars racing behind Herman Motors. Complainant advised they were very noisy.
Oct. 24
•Complainant requested a deputy to drive by and check her house, since she is out of town, and it was broken into last night.
•Complainant requested a car-kill deer tag for a dead deer that was found in the ditch next to his yard. Rock County Highway Department was there to remove the deer. Instead they helped complainant bring the deer up to his house.
•Complainant reported an order for protection violation.
•Complainant requested to speak to a deputy about her son. He is refusing to go to school, and she would like a deputy to tell him to go.
•Complainant requested we keep an eye on subject who has mental health issues.
•Complainant reported a black passenger van stopped at location and put their leaves that were at the curb for pickup into garbage bags and drove away. Complainant requested a deputy patrol area.
•Deputy arrested subject for second degree DWI and took her to jail.
•Deputy arrested subject for domestic assault and took him to jail.
•Complainant reported his brother stole his computer.
Oct. 25
•Complainant reported a vehicle involved in kidnapping, and cell phone shows vehicle just over into Minnesota.
•Complainant reported an order for protection violation by the subject. He contacted her sister and made threats.
•Complainant reported that he entered into a verbal agreement to do some home improvement work. Complainant gave subject a check for $2,000, and no work was completed. Deputy advised that this is a civil matter.
•Complainant reported a 911 pocket dial. Talked with subject, and there was no emergency.
•Complainant reported a semitrailer stalled at the stoplights at Main Street and Highway 75. G&S was contacted for a tow of the truck out of the intersection.
•Complainant reported concerns about some documents that were notarized that aren’t legal.
•Complainant reported that subject violated the order for protection again by phone contact through a voicemail.
•Reserved for predatory offender registration.
•Complainant reported a fight in Hardwick. A guy with a red shirt has a knife. Man was arrested and taken to jail.
Oct. 26
•Complainant reported someone is trying to stab him. Sounded 10-56. Hard to understand. He called back and said he is at the apartments by the skate park. Deputies arrested subject for terrorist threats and trespassing. Subject also said he overdosed, so he was transported to the emergency room to get medically cleared. Deputy transported him to jail.
•Complainant reported last night someone stole two purses out of her house.
•Complainant reported that a young man forgot to put his black bag with his clothes and books back in his trunk at Shopko. If it is located, please call the owner.
•Complainant reported that last night someone stole several things from her daughter’s vehicle while it was parked on the 300 block of West Brown Street.
•Complainant reported several items were taken from his vehicle while it was parked on the 600 block of North East Park Street.
•Complainant reported they have received some counterfeit money.
•Complainant reported they have footage of people passing counterfeit bills.
•Complainant reported subject is talking to her in violation of an order for protection. Deputy reported that we have probable cause for arrest on order for protection violation. Complainant also reported subject came to her at a friend’s house in Sioux Falls trying to get her to sign papers. Advised to call 911 immediately when she sees him.
•Complainant requested to speak to deputy regarding an inappropriate email she received.
•Deputy arrested man for DWI and took him to jail.
Oct. 27
•Complainant reported a family member assaulted her.
•Complainant requested a welfare check on subject who did not show up for work at 8 a.m. and is not answering phone or email. Sent teletype to surrounding agencies. Her phone is turned off. Deputy made contact with subject. All is OK.
•Deputy assisted three vehicles with flat tires from debris in roadway in area of location. Notified State Patrol. Deputy removed bulldog tire jack from road one half mile from border with South Dakota.
•Deputy reported an open door at a business. Key holder is not responding.
In addition, officers responded to 4 motor vehicle accidents, 6 deer accidents, 2 vehicles in ditch, 3 transports, 2 funeral escorts, 13 traffic stops, 22 ambulance runs, 6 paper services, 10 animal complaints, 4 fingerprint requests, 7 log/alarm sheets, 1 drug court test, 4 money escorts, and issued 6 purchase/carry permits and 5 burn permits.
