Oct. 7
•Lyon County reported they are giving a Rock County resident a ride and would like to meet a deputy to give him a ride to Beaver Creek.
•Complainant brought a small red bike to the Rock County Sheriff’s Office and put it in the impound in the back lot. It was found down by the power plant.
•Complainant reported that there is a young male with a bright orange sweatshirt with his hood up. He is walking south in front of Rauk’s, and he is carrying what looked like a gun on his back, possibly a BB gun.
•Complainant reported that he repossessed a vehicle in Luverne.
•Complainant reported child neglect.
•Complainant reported that he had a portable generator stolen last Thursday night.
•Complainant reported a brown pickup parked in their lot for the last two weeks and thought it was suspicious. Advised they can have it towed. Also left message with owner who was notified it needs to be moved or it may be towed by property manager.
•Complainant reported that subject is harassing her, threatening to attack her and posting nude photos on Facebook.
•Complainant reported that his debit card was on a Direct TV  bill of himself and subject when they were dating, and after they broke up, he asked her to remove it. Apparently she did not, and today he had $400 withdrawn from his account by Direct TV.
•Complainant reported OnStar activation in a gray 2006 GMC Yukon at Glen’s with no voice. They requested we check it out. Deputy located vehicle. Vehicle is secure and nothing is out of place.
•Complainant reported domestic. Male party possibly has a shotgun. Subject was taken into custody and transported to Nobles County Jail by deputy.
•Deputy ran the serial number of a gun found during a domestic and found that it was stolen out of Lyon County, Minnesota.
•Complainant reported kids are being loud, and they gave gone by and tapped on his window.
•Complainant reported a car tearing up and down the streets of Hardwick, no plate, midsize, maybe a four-door, loud. Deputy drove around the area, but vehicle was gone.
Oct. 8
•Complainant reported subject was bitten by a dog.
•Complainant reported she smells gas. She called Centerpoint, but they have not shown up yet. She doesn’t know if she should go door to door and warn the neighbors. Deputy reported they found a leak behind the stove. Waited for Centerpoint to arrive and cleared the scene.
•Complainant reported someone filled up their tank and doesn’t have money to pay. Subject came back to pay.
•Complainant requested welfare check on woman because her kids were out playing in complainant’s yard, and she attempted to make contact with the woman, but no answer. She is worried there are no parents around. Deputy reported everything is OK. Woman is home.
Oct. 9
•Complainant reported that a man named Ronnie came onto their property and looked around and came into their house. Language barrier.
•Complainant reported they lost keys somewhere between Luverne and Pipestone. Smaller red and silver lanyard with newer van key, work keys, house keys.
•Complainant reported that some kids on the basketball court at Redbird Field called her a whore and other bad words.
•Complainant reported they received a fire alarm for the elementary school. Paged Luverne Fire Department.
Oct. 10
•Complainant reported a small child who has had many unexcused absences from school.
•Complainant reported custody issues between parents where one lives in Rock County and the other is several states away.
•Complainant reported that subject did not show up for school and was having trouble getting in contact with the subject’s parents. Complainant called back and said that parents were contacted, and they don’t need help from the Rock County Sheriff’s Office.
•Complainant reported an employee who has come to work under the influence. She knows the subject is on probation and wants to speak to a probation officer.
•Complainant reported that subject is still harassing her via Facebook by posting old text message conversations they had together. This violates the harassment order.
•Complainant reported a license plate was stolen from his vehicle, either in Luverne or Sioux Falls. Entered into NCIC.
•Complainant reported that a repossession company was towing his vehicle and the subject who works for the company was looking in the windows of his house. He wants to know if that is illegal or not. Dispatched deputy to go check it out.
•Complainant reported demolition debris on the roadway from South Freeman to County Road 4 east. Deputy cleared roadway.
•Complainant reported smoke filled the house, but they can’t figure out where the fire is coming from. Paged Luverne Fire Department.
Oct. 11
•Complainant reported a white car in the emergency room parking lot with a male walking around. Deputy advised the male is the emergency room doctor and the vehicle is a rental car.
•Complainant reported commercial fire alarm at the Hills Beaver Creek school. Paged Hills Fire Department.
•Complainant reported a tractor with trailer stalled at intersection location. Deputy reported that the vehicle cleared roadway without incident.
•Complainant reported that an employee’s wife is causing a scene at the restaurant. Complainant is requesting deputy assistance to calm the situation down. Deputy reported that there was a verbal dispute between husband and wife.
•Complainant reported that very young children from Warren Street and South Estey Street are constantly riding their trikes and bikes in the streets, and the parents are in the house or ignoring them. Complainant would like the parents spoken to.
•Complainant reported that there is a strange man walking around through people’s backyards carrying bouquets of flowers and walking a puppy. Man is described as white, medium height, wearing a cap, gray sweater, jeans and sandals. Dispatch made deputies aware and to be on the lookout.
•Complainant reported a domestic situation. Sent deputies.
•Complainant reported that he has power issues. Dispatch contacted on-call electrical service.
•Complainant reported a domestic where subject doesn’t feel safe in the home. He and a child need to leave. Sent deputies.
•Complainant called in ranting and raving about something that had taken place earlier in the day. Situation was resolved.
•Complainant reported a possibly intoxicated male in a white Toyota Camry. Complainant says male left driving eastbound on I-90 near mile marker 1. South Dakota Highway Patrol was also notified.
Oct. 12
•Complainant brought in four social security cards, a wallet and a hair tie found in parking lot at location. Made contact with owner. She will be coming in Monday or Tuesday to get items.
Oct. 13
•Complainant reported a burglar alarm at a business downtown. Key holder is en route.
•Complainant requested to speak to a deputy to file theft report. He has a suspect.
•Complainant reported he pocket-dialed 911 and there is no emergency. No sign of distress.
In addition, officers responded to 1 DWI, 3 motor vehicle accidents, 2 deer accidents, 1 parking violation, 1 transport, 3 funeral escorts, 12 traffic stops, 7 ambulance runs, 8 animal complaints, 1 fingerprint request, 7 log/alarm sheets, 5 drug court tests, 6 money escorts, and issued 8 purchase/carry permits and 1 burn permit.
