Peggy Jo Harms, 58, Luverne, died Friday, Sept. 16, 2016, at the Sanford USD Medical Center in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
A private family service is scheduled for a later date.
Peggy was born Oct. 21, 1957, to Harvey and Dorothy (Croswell) Dunbar in Gardena, California. She married Wayne Harms on Oct. 21, 1994, in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. The couple lived in Luverne.
Peggy loved helping people. She worked in Luverne as a waitress and later at various places assisting with the handicapped.
She enjoyed helping at the Special Olympics, cooking, and caring for her pets.
Peggy is survived by her husband, Wayne Harms, Luverne; a daughter, Caisie Shields, California; four grandchildren, Kyler, Ayden, KyAnn and Kira.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Cali; her mother, Dorothy; and her Nana Croswell.
