Dispatch report
Sept. 2
•Complainant reported that her father fell. She was told we would page the ambulance and she got upset and said to just forget about it, that she would take care of it herself and hung up.
•Complainant reported child abuse/neglect.
•Complainant reported someone dumped some old cupboards on his property at Kapperman’s pit.
•Complainant reported subject came over to his property trying to pick a fight.
•Deputy arrested man for DWI and took him to jail.
Sept. 3
•Complainant reported a green bike on the grass in front of Hwy 75. The bike has been there since yesterday. Deputy put the bike into bike impound at sheriff’s office.
•Complainant in Beaver Creek reported his flag was stolen off his flagpole in front of his house between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. today.
•Complainant reported a 1990s-style black Chevy Silverado doing burnouts on Main Street, last seen going west on Main.
Sept. 4
•Complainant reported that her neighbors are being loud, kids yelling out of windows. Deputy spoke to neighbors and they will keep it down.
•Complainant does not speak English and sounded like she was upset. Complainant could or would not call back on 911. Dispatcher eventually found the address and sent a deputy.
•Complainant reported an open garage door with lights on at a residence. Complainant requested dispatch call subject and notify them that property at location may be unsecured in its current state. Dispatch contacted subject and he will lock it all up.
•Complainant reported a fire in house at Kenneth. Complainant said he had fire out but it was in the walls. He wants fire department on scene to be sure. Paged Kenneth Fire Department.
•Complainant reported a 30-pound white pig is between Salon 75 and the Herman Motor lot. Deputy reported that the pig must have fallen out of a trailer. Josh Ossefoort said he would take the animal as animal control could not be reached. Josh and Greg Uithoven were able to catch the animal.
•Complainant reported a pickup with Arizona plates driving approximately 85 mph on I-90 eastbound. Transferred to State Patrol.
•Complainant requested a deputy present while they pick up some items at a house.
•Complainant reported she is having issues with a restraining order that has been served. The person is contacting her ex.
•Complainant reported his ex-girlfriend is swerving in a vehicle at his daughter who is out riding horses.
•Complainant reported a motorcycle traveling the wrong way on I-90 in Nobles County. Transferred to State Patrol.
•Dispatcher received an abandoned 911 call. Sent deputy to check on it and no one was in there, but a door was open. Deputy secured the building.
•Complainant reported two males ran out of the building at SYS in Magnolia on the west side and into a cornfield. Complainant reported the runaways may try to steal a car and head toward Sioux Falls. They were returned to SYS.
Sept. 5
•Dispatch received a 911 call with nothing but static on line. Phone busy on callbacks. Deputy reports negative contact but everything seems to be OK.
•Complainant requested assistance getting into her house, which she is locked out of. Deputy assisted.
•Complainant reported a red Chevy pickup blows through the yield sign all the time. He is willing to sign a statement and will stop and pick up a statement form and bring in a license number.
•Complainant reported a kid he knows driving a red suburban with a 15 in the back window drives extremely fast (100 mph) and blows through stop signs. He will stop and pick up a statement form and get a license number.
•Complainant wanted to speak to a deputy about her ex not returning their kids. He was supposed to return them a week ago but she let it slide. He is threatening to turn her in to Family Services.
•Complainant reported a kid stared at him a few days ago. Today that kid was back with friends, and they knocked on his door and ran.
•Pipestone County Sheriff’s Office reported that man’s son said he was home and drinking. If we pick him up, they will meet us. Deputy reported man would not answer the door.
•Complainant reported a black man looking in a window of a house. Complainant wanted to know if man had been released from jail and was worried about the fighting that goes on when he is there.
•Complainant reported they were leaving the state park yesterday and there was an older man driving an older conversion van, pulling a homemade trailer. He had about five children with him. She was worried but did not see anything inappropriate or get a license number. Dispatch called the park. They did not have any incidents reported to them, as the van is gone.
•Complainant reported he lost a black wallet in Luverne last week.
•Complainant reported kids are on the grain bins on S. Water Ave. in Hills. They were up there on Friday also.
•Complainant reported that subject retrieved his vehicle in violation of the DANCO by not having law enforcement present. Squads UTL – subject may be back in Iowa.
Sept. 6
•Complainant reported that his girlfriend is hitting  him and is intoxicated. Parties separated for the evening.
•Complainant called 911 to report a red SUV in the library parking lot with its lights on and a male inside. Not doing anything but has been sitting there awhile. Feels that this is suspicious.
•Dispatch received a 911 call from location. All static. No answer on callbacks. Sent deputy to check it out.
•Complainant reported someone came in and told them of a man living under the bridge by the city park area. They would like it checked out. Deputy checked out both bridges near city park and found no one.
•Complainant reported a hit-and-run that happened Sept. 4 at about 11 a.m.
•Complainant reported a construction trailer was broken into over the weekend. Nothing was missing.
•Complainant reported identity theft.
•Complainant with the Department of Corrections fugitive division reported they are looking for fugitives that may be in the Luverne area.
•Deputy cited male for texting while driving.
Sept. 7
•Complainant had questions about parking her vehicle in the parking lot overnight.
•Complainant reported she thinks man is drinking and his brother said to call if he’s been drinking. Complainant said she could smell it. Complainant did not want to give her name. Deputy went to resident for breathalyzer test, per request of probation officer. Subject is not drinking.
•Complainant reported her ex-husband will not return their daughter, as he is supposed to per court order.
•Complainant reported they were doing road repairs for Mound Township and had a “road closed” sign up but a vehicle still went through it. Vehicle belongs to subject who they got out of the vehicle and took home. They will get the Chevy Equinox out tomorrow.
•Complainant reported suspicious vehicle by her house. Transferred call to Moody County where the caller was calling from.
•Complainant reported that his mother is acting weird and he doesn’t want to go with her from location. Complainant wants to stay at his dad’s. Subject called sheriff’s office shortly after deputies were dispatched to location. Subject informed dispatch that she had an argument with complainant earlier tonight. Complainant ran away to dad’s house and subject wants complainant to come back to her location. Juvenile was brought back to mom’s house and was explained the difference between rules at each parent’s home.
Sept. 8
•Complainant reported an insufficient funds check to Glen’s Food and Gas in the amount of $57.55.
•Complainant reported child neglect by parents.
•Complainant requested to get some items out of her vehicle in impound.
•Complainant reported a white car went through the crosswalk stoplights. Complainant gave plate 138URE.
In addition, officers responded to 1 deer accident, 1 transport, 1 funeral escort, 2 traffic stops, 16 ambulance runs, 1 money escort, 3 paper services, 1 lost and found,  6 animal complaints, 1 fingerprint request, 3 911 pocket dials, 1 welfare check, 7 log/alarm sheets, 7 drug court tests, 1 POR registration, and issued 5 purchase/carry permits and 2 burn permits.
