Kathleen Thompson

Kathleen Thompson, 96, Rancho Bernardo, California, formerly of Luverne, died Thursday, Aug. 4, 2016, in Rancho Bernardo.
A memorial service was Aug. 20 at her church in Rancho Bernardo. Her cremains will be interred at Fort Rosecrans Cemetery on Point Loma, San Diego, California.
Kathleen French was born Jan. 9, 1921, to Thomas and Mary Jane (Gibbs) French in Blaenavon, Wales, United Kingdom.
She is survived by a daughter, Judith Gil, San Diego, California; a son, Robert and grandson Sterling Grinnell, Sutherlin, Oregon; two brothers, Francis French, Moline, Illinois, and Thomas French, Houston, Texas; a niece, nephews and extended family in England.
She was preceded in death by Harold Grinnell, the father of her two children, and by a late husband, Orville Thompson of Luverne.
