Susan Lynn Anderson, 53, North Branch, died unexpectedly Monday, July 25, 2016, at Regions Hospital in St. Paul.
A funeral service was Friday, Aug. 5, at Grandstrand Funeral Home in North Branch.
Susan Vos was born Oct. 30, 1962, to Nelson and Betty Vos in Luverne. She attended elementary school in Hardwick and graduated from Luverne High School. She then attended Mankato State University and received a Bachelor of Science degree in biology and teaching. She worked the summer months at Blue Mounds State Park. After receiving her degree, she moved to the Twin Cities area and eventually became employed at the Wild River State Park near Almelund.
Susan married Tane Anderson on May 2, 1992, at the Wild River State Park. After the birth of her second daughter, she was a stay-at-home mother until she recently became a tutor for Early Childhood Preschool in North Branch.
Susan enjoyed hiking, gardening, reading and singing. She was also actively involved in her church.
She is survived by  her husband, Tane; two daughters, Elinor and Elizabeth; her mother, Betty Vos, Hardwick; three brothers, Mike (Janelle) Vos, Coon Rapids, Phil (Millie) Vos, Persia, Iowa, Loren (Shirelle) Vos, Flandreau, South Dakota; aunts Linda Vos, Loveland, Colorado, and Fran Vos, Luverne; an uncle, Ken (Francis) Vos, Sheffield, Vermont, and nieces and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her father, Nelson Vos, her grandparents, an aunt, Mae Brown, and uncles Homer and Glenn Vos.
Arrangements were by Grandstrand Funeral Home, North Branch.
