Hwy 23 construction begins Monday

Construction of the passing lane two miles north of Jasper will begin at 6 a.m. Monday, June 27. The project will NOT require a detour. Traffic will be shifted onto the shoulder. The lanes will be narrowed and speed reduced in the work zone.
Please drive with caution and be aware of workers in the work zone. A width limit of 11 ft. will be enforced. Motorists can expect short delays during the construction.
The Highway 23 passing lanes (south) project began Monday, April 25, with the construction of the passing lanes between Russell and Florence. Construction of the passing lanes between Holland and Pipestone began Monday, May 9. Both segments are currently under a detour.
The Highway 23 passing lanes project is part of the Corridors of Commerce program, which the Legislature created in 2013. For more information about the Corridors of Commerce program, see www.mndot.gov/corridorsofcommerce/.
