No one injured in two-vehicle accident

The Rock County Sheriff’s Office and the Rock County Ambulance were called to a two-vehicle accident with possible injuries at 3 p.m. Monday at the intersection of Dodge Street and North Freeman Avenue in Luverne. Amanda Goettig, 23, Hardwick, was driving a 2006 Chevrolet Impala and was traveling north on Freeman Avenue when she failed to stop at the stop sign. Goettig collided with an eastbound 1977 Chevrolet SUV driven by Robert Wenzel, 41, of Luverne. According to Sheriff Evan Verbrugge, alcohol and drugs were not a factor in the accident, and both drivers were wearing seatbelts. Neither driver was seriously hurt. Goettig was issued a failure to yield citation.
